Why an RV Road Trip?
For this family, traditional travel wasn’t enough. They wanted a flexible and immersive experience that allowed them to truly connect with nature, explore off-the-beaten-path destinations, and spend quality time together. An RV (Recreational Vehicle) was the perfect choice, providing both the comfort of home and the freedom to go anywhere at their own pace.
The Route: A Journey Through Diverse Landscapes
Starting in Beijing, they traveled westward, making stops in some of China’s most stunning locations before finally reaching Xinjiang, China’s largest and most remote province.

1. Beijing to Inner Mongolia
• First stop: Grasslands of Hohhot – A peaceful escape from the city, where they camped under starry skies.
• Kubuqi Desert – The family took a thrilling camel ride across golden sand dunes and watched a mesmerizing desert sunset.

Challenges on the Road
While the journey was incredible, it wasn’t without challenges:
🚗 Long driving hours – Some stretches between destinations were over 500km.
🛠 Mechanical issues – A tire puncture in the middle of the Gobi Desert tested their problem-solving skills.
🥘 Food adjustments – Transitioning from Beijing’s cuisine to the spicy and diverse flavors of the west was exciting but required some adaptation for their child.
